Foodies of Aberdeen, assemble! It's nearly the best week of the year - Aberdeen Restaurant Week!
From Monday 24th February to Sunday 1st March a whopping 45+ restaurants across Aberdeen city centre are going to be dishing up some delicious food and at amazing prices! Bag yourself a two-course lunch for £10 or a three-course dinner for £20. Absolute bargain! There are even tasting menus, afternoon teas and cooking classes too. Not to mention the new street food tours run by Grampian Escapes & Tours.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the street food tour last week. Such a great addition to the ARW line-up. Click here to take a peek at what's involved.
I also managed to get a cheeky wee early taster of Revolucion de Cuba's new menu for this year and oocha it's a goodie! Check out this blog for my full review..
With over 45 restaurants taking part this time, that means A LOT of menus to browse and some big decisions on where to dine during Aberdeen Restaurant Week ... so I thought I'd lend a hand and give you a rundown of some of my favourite places taking part this time round.
Since kicking off in 2018, this is now the fifth instalment of Aberdeen Restaurant Week and I've managed to squeeze in a few tasty meals over the last couple of years. You all know the saying 'a picture speaks a thousand words', right? Well to give you a flavour (pun totally intended!) of what you can expect in 2020, check out my Instagram posts to see where I've been during ARW in 2018 & 2019. And follow the links below to see their tasty menus for 2020!

There are some REALLY great restaurants taking part in 2020 with some REALLY tasty sounding menus to boot - but alas, there are only so many meals one can eat out in a week so unfortunately I had to whittle it down to just a few. So where am I planning to go this Restaurant Week, I hear you ask ...?
I'm kicking off this year’s Restaurant Week with dinner at Aberdeen's newest pizza joint, Mac's Pizzeria. Believe it or not I've not actually been to Mac's yet so ARW was a great excuse to sort that out! Can't wait to try 'Mac's Signature Pizza' - yum! Check out Mac's Pizzeria's menu here.
Ferryhill House Hotel
I've lived in Aberdeen for 10+ years and I think I've only been to Ferryhill House Hotel once and it was aaaaages ago! So when I saw they were taking part in Restaurant Week it gave me the kick up the butt to get back there. Plus the menu sounds ace - proper good pub grub! Check out Ferryhill House Hotel's menu here.
It's going to be a really special ARW finale for me this time round because it's actually coinciding with my leaving night from my current job. Is there anywhere better to have a last supper with a bunch of amazing colleagues than over a massive table filled with tapas?! I think not! Bring on the queso de cabra al horno! Check out Cafe Andaluz's menu here.
